In November 2023 the Government announced proposed changes to the current legislation regarding holiday pay. They have now issued guidance setting out how holiday pay should be calculated for part-year and irregular hours workers, as well as other 2024 holiday pay changes.
Most of the changes apply from leave years beginning on or after 1 April 2024 including:
· Re-introduction of rolled-up holiday pay for irregular hours and part-year workers
· Re-introduction of the 12.07% of hours worked calculation method for irregular hours
and part-year workers.
